W. Tanner Forbes is a writer and author of Compass Rose in the collection Tales of the Black Piper as well as an in progress novel.

Tanner has won several awards for his short story pieces, both fiction and nonfiction.

He attended school for English, Communications, and Information Technology.  
After working in education for nine years, Tanner moved the IT field. During all that time he has been hard at work on his debut novel as well as other writing projects.

Tanner writes from his home in Missouri, where he constantly battles the distraction that is his two dogs and his lovely wife. He decided to start writing when it was no longer socially acceptable to run around pretending to be a superhero.
